I watched Baby Mama.
I expected something kind of funny, and…I admit…a female version of Superbad or one of the Seth Rogen-type comedies with some filth and solid use of profanity. Because that’s what I like, I can’t help it. I’m not very discriminating with my taste.
Instead I was duped! That shit is a romantic comedy – a crappy romantic comedy. Not funny at all. Why can’t women be funnier? Why! Do you think the studios won’t let them? Why can’t they make jokes about periods and labias like men joke about shit and balls?
I won’t even get into the movie itself and all the lame baby messages.
agreed- I was surprised that it was so mainstreamey. Maybe Judd Apatow needs to make a girl movie.
I was really excited for this movie too, and there are funny parts… come on when she pees in the sink? Sadly, it was one of those, where all the funny stuff was in the trailer.
Also, Greg Kinnear? Couldn’t they have found a better love interest?
