Fancy pants auction house Christies if auctioning off a fancy pants naked picture of a young Madonna by fancy pants photographer Lee Friedlander taken in the late 70’s. These were later printed in Playboy in the 80’s.
Back in the day when neither of them were famous (he maybe sorta was), she responded to an ad he had placed for nude models- her sitters fee? $25.
The auction estimate is $10,000-$15,000.

I remember this, and the ensuing hubbub. Then, it was weird. Now, I just wish women were more encouraged to be naturally women. Yeah, only men have body hair. Meh.
PS-The Madonna shots are actually rather lovely.
This post is blowing up because people love naked Madonna. Now I’m looking at it again and I just think this is such a rad photo – she looks awesome.
